Mellany Slaton, Owner of Fringe Hair Salon
Hi, my name is Mellany Slaton. As many of you already know, I am from the Dakotas, and I say the "Dakotas" because my family is scattered throughout North and South Dakota.
I attended R.D. Hairstyling College in Bismarck, ND where I received my master cosmetology license. I then moved to Georgia in 1983 where I began my career in this crazy and exciting profession. I have been blessed by supportive friends and family. It is the loyalty of great clients, such as yourself, that has enabled me to open the salon of my dreams, Fringe Hair Salon.
My staff and I are well-educated and stay current on the latest trends through continuing education classes. We are a full-service salon, and I take great pride in the professionalism of all my stylists. I am looking forward to you coming in and meeting the Fringe staff.
Ashley Slaton, Stylist
Hi, I'm Ashley Slaton. I was destined to be a hair dresser. My mother has been in the industry my whole life, so I grew up in a salon. I started working in a salon on Eagles Landing Pkwy. when I was in high school, and I assisted them for several years until I graduated from cosmetology school in 2005.
I got my master cosmetology license from Georgia Career Institute in Conyers, GA. I am constantly furthering my education by going to several hair shows and classes each year. I specialize in color, but enjoy all aspects of the salon. I'm very confident in what I do, and I love making people feel beautiful. I couldn't imagine doing anything else!
Kris McAllister, Stylist
My name is Kris McAllister, and I've been working in the salon industry for over 19 years. After graduating from cosmetology school in 1995, I furthered my education by going to work with Salon 124 Inc.
I specialize in cutting, color, multi-dimensional color and highlighting, and Brazilian blowouts. I have a passion for making each individual client feel better about themselves. I pride myself in listening to my clients' specific needs and being a very professional and consistent stylist.
I look forward to many more years in this wonderful and exciting industry, staying up to date on the current fashion and hair trends that are continuing to change every year. I am very excited to be a part of the Fringe Design Team and helping make it the top full-service salon in Henry County.
Kasey Allen, Stylist
My name is Kasey Allen, and I have lived in McDonough, GA my whole life. I graduated from Paul Mitchell The School Atlanta with a master cosmetology license. While at Paul Mitchell, I was in the honors program, and was lucky enough to have attended advanced cutting classes with owner, Scott Cole.
From there, I continued my education at an Aveda Concept Salon in Peachtree City. I went through their extensive, 6-month training program before going on the floor as a stylist. I continued my career there for 2 years before making the decision to work closer to home.
I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know all of my clients. I take my time with each one of my clients to ensure they get what they want out of each visit. Being able to make people feel comfortable and happy with their hair is what I really love about my job. I'm so happy to call Fringe Hair Salon my home, and I can't wait to meet you!
